Ground Training

Welcome to Chickadee Aviation’s Ground School Training Program. We’re a FAR Part 61 school and your gateway to earning any pilot certificate and rating. We support pilots in their ground training with in-person class, virtual support, and with the onsite Redbird Simulator. 

A comprehensive ground class is vital to obtaining any pilot certificate. There are many online ground school courses available to assist with situational awareness, understanding the rules and regulations surrounding general aviation. 

Here at the (KLEW) Auburn Lewiston Airport we have an FAA Certified Redbird FMX Flight simulator (https://simulators.redbirdflight.com/products/ld) for which we offer training at ALL levels! You can still "put’em in the soup" if needed, but accurately simulating VFR flights opens up a huge range of uses for the LD.
