Ground Training

We support pilots in their ground training with in-person class, virtual support, and with the onsite Redbird Simulator. 

A comprehensive ground class is vital to obtaining any pilot certificate. There are many online ground school courses available to assist with situational awareness and understanding the rules and regulations surrounding general aviation. 

Here at KLEW we have an FAA Certified Redbird FMX Flight simulator for which we offer training at ALL levels!

When the weather doesn't allow for flight in our planes, you can still get in the practice reps needed to continue your training. Whether its practicing instrument approaches to stay current or introducing new VFR maneuvers, the Redbird is always available!
